I got a lovely email today from Rob Friedman, President, AAdvantage Marketing Programs informing me that I had just become a millionAAire.

My favorite line is “[w]hether you eagerly awaited this achievement or didn’t realize it occurred…” As a number of people have pointed out (I’m looking at you V and Brett), I should reply that not only did I know it was coming, I had a spreadsheet calculating when it would happen down to the day (and, yes, I did really have one).

Also looks like my 8 500-mile upgrades have posted (and called out as 1MM related). I’d still wish they gave out the 4 VIP2 system-wide (!!!) upgrades on AA metal.

Supposedly at some point, my online account will also indicate that I’m a 1MM-er.
