Worst. Flight. Ever.

Oh dear lord…who would have thought that getting to LGA (from ORD) would be such an ordeal.

Robbyn and I were on AA 380; with an estimated push-back of 10:40am. We got moved back 10 minutes due to LGA weather issues, we did make it off on-time. Then we hit the wall of turbulence from hell. It was rough…very rough. We make it as far as LGA, and then they announce that we’re running out of fuel (WTF, seriously?) and need to divert to IAD…and we fly to D.C.

Once we top up, we push back, and sit…and sit, and sit, and then I notice the weather rolling in:

After being on the ground for another hour, we take off. We get up to LGA, and then cut doughnuts in the air for another 90 minutes. (Seriously, WTF is up with LGA’s traffic management program, you’d think they’d have this down pat, it was like amateur hour at AA operations and ATC).

Finally we go onto final…and execute a touch and go (rear wheels thumped), and then had to go around again, which took 25 minutes to re-insert us into the pattern.

FEH. Here’s the final box score:
