Columbia House DVD Club: You can checkout any time you like, but you can never leave!

This item was filled under [ Huh? ]

Long time ago I signed up for Columbia House’s DVD club because, like everyone I wanted the six million DVDs for $0.01. Finally after getting the two or so I needed to fulfill the membership terms, I decided I wanted to cancel.

Usually in the past you had to call and cancel…no longer! Now you have to MAIL them a cancellation request. I kid you not…from the Membership Guide (as posted on their site):

We will do everything to make your membership as satisfying as possible. However, you are free to cancel your membership any time after you’ve fulfilled your purchase commitment by writing to us at: Customer Service Department, Columbia House DVD Club, PO Box 91602, Indianapolis, IN 46291-0602.

That’s just awesome!

My mission is to now find the cancellation phone number…and I will succeed!

Turns out google is your friend:

This site has all the numbers…now they don’t open up till 9am CST (fair ’nuff), but I’m still calling right then and there!
