In case you haven’t heard…Sallie Mae made an oopsie when reporting account status to Equifax. My Equifax FICO went from mid-700s (pretty good) to mid-600s (absolutely crappy) overnight.
Thankfully, they were able to correct it pretty much overnight…still gave me a heart attack for a couple days.
Cue Calculon to yell “Nooooooooooo!”

Dammit, PayByTouch has just disappeared from Jewel. I didn’t realize that they (Solidus Networks, the group behind PayByTouch) actually process the payments, and not Jewel. If you RTFA, the “lady on the street” makes a good point…what’s going to happen to the biometric and payment information provided them. And here’s a lawsuit waiting to happen, [...]
