QANTAS never crashes…or third times a charm

And we’ve got our third major safety incident in a week.
Looks like they’re gonna get the up-close-and-personal treatment that AA got earlier this year from the FAA.
I just hope they have it all sorted out by November when I’m flying them ORD/LAX/SYD and back (LAX/SYD in A380…woot!).

This lovely gem of an article appeared as a sidebar the other day in the WSJ. I’m amused to see that someone in the FAA has a sense of humor.
My personal favorite is the set of beacons outside Liberty International in Newark being HOWYA and DOOIN.
