Today, Roe announced that when the canarble wagon rolls tomorrow on the Roe Conn Show, there will be a super-duper special guest, quickly followed by a “Major Announcement.” The reason that this person would be coming on the show during the canarble wagon roll-out is that this is a special thing for that person.

Seems pretty clear to me that the special guest will be Christina Filiaggi, and the “major announcement” will be that they’ve finally fixed the screw up with the axing of the news staff from a couple months ago.

That’s the Amazing Kreskin’s predicition…we’ll just have to tune in at 5p tomorrow to see if we’re right!

WLS, Chicago’s “News” Station,  in a brilliant move, right out of MBA school, decided to fire most of its news staff (Slaughter at WLS cuts news from ‘news/talk’).

This leaves WLS basically un-listen-able. We’ve got Rush, Sean “GOP Lapdog” Hannity, Mark “I’m a very angry man” Levin, and those god-awful churn-and-burn mutual hack jobs and real estate flippers on the weekend.

I can take Don and Roma, because they do offer some really good local flavor (I got introduced to the incredibly tasty Gale Street Inn through them), and Roe still is good…but in the last couple of years we’ve seen Jay Martin run out on a rail, Eileen Byrne axed, any liberal voice silenced….oh, and that whole Gary Meier cluster-fuck.

But what’s the future…are we going to see them bring in Imus (feh), or poach Michael Savage…or any of the other angry, mean, spite-filled right wing trash that is filling the airwaves…and if I feel this way, and I’m a conservative, how does the rest of the world feel?
